The best time to visit this park is between April to mid-May. About 400,000 shibazakura and 1,000 cherry trees was plant in here.

Artnia is an official store of Square Enix. For Final Fantasy fans, this place probably a heaven. In this place you can buy merchandise, like stuffed dolls, keychains, silver accessories, figures, and many more.



You can also eat some dessert and drink a cup of latte in here. Here are some menus they offer

Doraemon Waku Waku Sky Park

Location: 3rd Floor New Chitose Airport

For anybody who love Doraemon, you shouldn't miss this place when you visit Hokkaido.

  • Parkzone (surharge), open from 10:00 to 18:00, last admission is 30 minutes before the close of business
    The concept of this zone is experience, find, know, and enjoy.
  • Shop, open from 10:00 to 18:30
  • Cafe, open from 10:00 to 18:00, last order one hour before the close of business
  • Kids zone
  • Photo studio, where you can take picture and print it on mug or keychain.
  • Workshop zone, where you can buy handmade kit and work here.
  • Library zone, you can read Doraemon comic books here.

This sky park also offers annual passport that valid for one year only. To get this passport, you have to pay some money, depends on your age. The benefit of having this passport is you will get some discount in Doraemon Waku Waku Sky Park and other places in New Chitose Airport.

Wat Rong Khun

Location: Chiang Rai, North Thailand

Wat Rong Khun is also known as White Temple. This temple was designed by Chalermchai Kositpipat in 1997 and it still needs many years to finish the temple.

Wat Rong Kun is designed in white color and use white glass. The white color represents the purity of Buddha. White glass represents the wisdom of Buddha that shining over the earth and universe. To enter the temple, we need to cross a bridge. The bridge symbolizes transition from the cycle of life to the land of the Buddha. The big circle with fangs is the mouth of Rahu embodies passion and desire. We need to throw our passion and desire away into the mouth of the demon king to clean ourselves before going inside the main building.

Wat Rong Khun

The semicircular in front of the stairway to the main building symbolizes the transcendental world of wisdom. The three steps of the stairway represent impermanence, sadness and non-selfness. Next to the stairway is the land of the formless divine represented by 4 magic lotuses and 4 doors. The last door contains triangular mirrors, representing emptiness (nothingness). Next to the door is the threshold to the land of the Buddha. On the 4-sided walls and the floor inside the main building are mural paintings in gold color, representing the release from passion and desire to the world of Dharma.

The apex comprises 4 animals representing the 4 elements of the earth.

  • The elephant represents land
  • Naga represents water
  • The swan represents wind
  • The lion represents fire

All these animals are on their duty to safeguard Buddhism.

Omisoka

Omisoka is japanese new year's eve.

What Japanese people do at the end of the year ?

  • Osouji (cleaning house) primary schools also perform Osouji before they go into their winter vacation
  • Write Nengajo (Japanase New Year's Card)
    Conventional nengajo greetings -> 今年もよろしくお願いします (Kotoshimo yoroshiku onegai-shimasu): I hope for your favor again in the coming year

  • Place kadomatsu (made of pine boughs, bamboo and straw and said to have the power to attract good fortune) on either side of the front entrance

  • Over the door is hung a shimekazari, a decoration which has a power to bring happiness and to ward off evil spirits.
  • Put Kagami Mochi in front of their household Shinto altar. Two rice cakes, the smaller on top of the larger one, and a daidai as a good omen are the usual parts of Kagami Mochi. The two mochi pieces represent the going and the coming years.
  • Around 11 pm, eating Toshikoshi Soba, as a symbol of crossing over from one year to the next.
  • A few minutes before midnight, people gather at the temple to hear the bell strucking. The bell strucks 108 times to purify the people from their 108 earthly passions.
  • Adults give Otoshidama (new year money gift) to children.

Grotta Azzurra

Location: Capri, Itali

Grotta Azzurra

Long time ago, the islanders scared to enter the cave because they believed Nereidi, Sirens and devils lived there. In 1826, the local fisherman Angelo Ferraro accompanied the German scholar, August Kopisch, and the painter Ernst Fries in to the cave. Their tales of the magical blue sea cave led to the Grotta Azzurra becoming Capri's number one tourist site.
The blue water was caused by the reflection of the sun. The height of this cave is about 1 meter, that's why visitor should lie down when enter the cave. The best time to visit this place between 12pm and 2pm.

How to get to the Grotta Azzurra

  • By boat: a 10 minute boat journey from Marina Grande or as part of the tour of the island.
  • By bus: in Anacapri, catch the bus from the bus stop, 50 meters from Piazza Vittoria.
  • On foot: from the center of Anacapri, walk along Viale T. de Tommaso, Via Pagliaro and Via Grotta Azzurra (3.5 km).
